Vedanta says its V-Spark DeepTech Ventures platform has already delivered nearly four times return on investment, with the company now accelerating AI, automation, predictive analytics, and digital manufacturing initiatives across industrial operations and supply chains.
Vedanta Group has intensified its push towards artificial intelligence-led industrial transformation, announcing plans to unlock an additional USD 300-400 million in value over the next three years through advanced digital and deep-tech deployments across its businesses.
The company said its innovation platform, V-Spark DeepTech Ventures, has already generated value creation amounting to nearly four times return on investment since inception. The initiative focuses on accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies across manufacturing, mining, energy, metals, and industrial operations.
The announcement aligns with this year’s National Technology Day theme, “Responsible Innovation for Inclusive Growth,” as the group continues to scale technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), digital twins, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation across its businesses.

AI and digital manufacturing drive operational efficiency
Vedanta said it has implemented multiple AI-powered systems across its industrial ecosystem, including predictive maintenance solutions, thermal monitoring technologies, intelligent energy management platforms, automated process optimisation tools, and advanced analytics systems.
The company has also deployed over 500 AI-enabled safety cameras across operations to improve workplace monitoring and strengthen digital safety practices. In mining operations, AI-driven fleet optimisation technologies are helping improve haulage efficiency while reducing fuel consumption. The company is additionally expanding tele-remote mining systems to improve underground safety and reduce direct man-machine interaction.
According to Vedanta, several digital manufacturing initiatives are already delivering measurable financial outcomes. Automated monitoring systems deployed in smelter operations have reportedly generated nearly USD 4.2 million in value creation, while Mine Excellence programmes are expected to contribute close to USD 10 million annually through operational optimisation and process intelligence.
Startup collaborations and innovation ecosystem expansion
Through V-Spark DeepTech Ventures, Vedanta plans to engage with more than 1,000 startups to strengthen its innovation ecosystem focused on AI, industrial digitisation, sustainability, and next-generation manufacturing technologies.
The company is also integrating AI into procurement and supply chain operations through intelligent inventory management and buying systems aimed at improving planning efficiency and optimising working capital management.
Vedanta said collaborations with startups, technology firms, and innovation ecosystems remain central to its long-term strategy of deploying scalable industrial technologies and building digitally connected operations across businesses.
