Motorola announces New WNS in India
Motorola Inc. Enterprise Mobility Solutions business has unveiled a complete portfolio of new solutions in New Delhi as part of its go-to-market strategy in the high-growth wireless networking market. To drive innovation and meet customer needs, Motorola’s Wireless Network Solutions (WNS) group has combined the company’s key technology assets in wireless broadband, wireless LAN (WLAN), AirDefense wireless security, network assurance and converged enterprise communications.
“Motorola has a heritage of more than 80 years in RF and wireless innovation, with the invention of the 802.11 wireless networking switch serving as one significant example,” said John Fogarasi, Sales Director – Wireless Networks Solutions (WNS) Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions, Asia Pacific. “As a market leader in the unlicensed wireless broadband market, we are leading the drive to unwire the enterprise. The growth in the wireless market in India is driven by the high rate of adoption of mobile and portable computing devices, such as smartphones, enterprise digital assistants, notebooks and netbooks, and enterprises including large campuses who are rolling out ubiquitous high-speed wireless networks, and carriers who are interested in extending their networks and are looking for more cost-efficient options.”
Motorola WNS provides customers with an extensive and unparalleled end-to-end portfolio of market-leading wireless solutions, which offer multi-vendor flexibility and seamless connectivity when deployed together. It will release a mix of eight new products and solutions beginning in next few weeks that cover the full spectrum of indoor WLAN, outdoor wireless mesh, point-to-multipoint, point-to-point networks and voice over WLAN solutions. These include: Motorola RFS4000, Motorola AP7181, Motorola AP650, Motorola PMP430, Motorola PTP800, Motorola PMP320, Motorola TEAM VoWLAN, Motorola AirDefense Security and Network Assurance.
With the release of these products and solutions, Motorola will provide customers in India and around the region with a complete end-to-end wireless coverage solution for government agencies, campuses and businesses in both metropolitan and regional centres, where service delivery is wholly dependent on access to both licensed and unlicensed wireless spectrum.
