As per a recent update, Cortina's Ultra High-Performance CS75xx Gateway Processor has powered the new buffalo VPN Router VR-S1000 to deliver high security, performance and reliability to the SOHO/SMB Networks.
The CS75xx's dedicated security engine will enable the Buffalo VPN Router family to deliver highly secure, high-performance, reliable connectivity to the Internet, or other SOHO/SMB offices, through the core of customers' small business network.

Cortina CS75xx dedicated powerful Security Engine provides all encryption algorithms and offloads functions enabling the support for various security applications," said Dr Stewart Wu, Vice-President, Cortina Systems.
In conjunction with the security engine, the CS75xx's architecture integrates a packet engine that further offloads the dual ARM Cortex A9 CPU from intensive packet and protocol processing to enable Buffalo's VPN routers with simultaneous high-performance Wi-Fi connectivity as well as secured remote access NAS applications.
