In a recently published report by Nucleus Research, Comverse's Business Support System (BSS) solution helps telecom operators reduce operational costs, provide higher levels of customer service and boost revenues.
Nucleus Research conducted an analysis of the benefits available to telecom operators when using Comverse's product-based BSS solutions. They identified seven key benefit areas, including lower software acquisition and support costs, lower integration efforts and risks, and greater revenues per user.
For instance, one operator indicated that by replacing existing separate systems for customer data management, data rating, and billing with Comverse ONE, annual support costs were predicted to be reduced to $1.2 million from $11.2 million. Another customer said, "We are now able to cross-sell a whole host of products to our postpaid users. We will probably increase our average annual revenue per user by about 5 per cent."
The Comverse ONE Billing and Active Customer Management solution unifies sales, marketing, ordering, billing and customer management around a single data model to provide full convergence across any network, any service, any content and any payment type. By centralizing customer information, eliminating integration points, and delivering a single marketing-driven product catalog, the Comverse ONE solution enables operators to quickly introduce and monetize new services, while providing a consistent and interactive customer experience regardless of customer touchpoint. It turns BSS into a strategic asset allowing operators to profit from market opportunities faster than ever.
"The Nucleus Research report highlights how Comverse is uniquely qualified to help operators be successful in the converging telecommunications world," said Gabriel Matsliach, President – Global Products & Operations, Comverse. "By bridging IT and the network, including Comverse HUB Value-Added Services," he said, "Comverse brings cost savings and operational synergies for greater business agility, comprehensive monetization and the fuel needed for exceptional growth even in today's challenging market."
